Aurora Education Center (AEC) offers students a safe and stimulating environment in which to learn. Educational staff members are committed to the academic and emotional development of the children and adolescents that they serve. Teachers actively interact with their students to ensure that learning is engaging and developmentally appropriate. Regardless of whether a young person has behavioral difficulties hindering learning or cognitive challenges combined with behavioral difficulties, Aurora Education Center is the preferred learning environment for students in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Background: Aurora Education Center is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a nonpublic educational facility (14-7.02) for special education students in kindergarten through age 21.
